Exclamation HUMMING driving me crazy!!!
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSS25WGPH
Age: 1 - 4 years

This unit is keeping everything cool, the refridgerator side works fine, the freezer hums very loudly (almost like an owl) if I make the freezer warmer (on setting 1) it will stop. As soon as it starts to cool off again, iot starts back up...

Is this just a simple part??

Your evaporator fan blade may be hitting ice or the housing. Pull panel off the back of freezer and check.

Is that inside the freezer or ob the back of the whole unit?

I took apart the freezer (after defrosting) and everything seemed to be ok??
