Default How to remove ice maker from freezer?
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.53559201
Age: 5 - 10 years

The ice maker has quit making ice. I checked the water inlet valve solenoid; it measures about 180 ohms, so I think it's okay.

So, on to the ice maker unit...but:

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the icemaker out of the freezer.
Every screw I see does not seem to be one that holds the unit in.
Can someone give me instructions?

Thanks very much for any help!

It should be fastened to the side wall by three screws in a bracket. Two on top one on bottom. You can loosen the screws and the ice maker should lift up and off. You can un plug the wiring harness after you lift it up. Yours may be slightly different, but look for screws holding it on.

Be sure you unplug the refrigerator, before you do that. Tom ApplianceEducator.com Tom
