I was cleaning the refrigerator and noticed that the water reservoir has black particles on the lower loops. Can I clean this or should I replace the reservoir?

Either way I need to take it out. I've read about disconnects for the water reservoirs in this forum - but would like some advice on where they are and how it works.

This refrigerator came with the house when I bought and I don't have a manual - nor can I find one on the Internet.

Any help would be much appreciated.
