How do i get these water lines off? Brand: Whirlpool Model Number: GC5SHEXNB00 my ice maker stopped working. I tried jumping the V and L test holes on the ice maker to see if I could get the vater valve to send water manually. Not sure if i test the ohms right, but i think my valve is bad. I ordered the valve and circuit board assembly (I will just throw parts at a problem until it is fixed). My question is how do I get the water lines from the valve assembly? I tried using a flat blade screw driver, which broke part of the tab off. Then I just used some channel locks and squeezed what was left of the tab and pulled it out of the assemble with brute force. I couldn't tell if the "cap" that was on the assemble where the tube meets it was threaded in, but I couldn't get it to turn.
Any help here? I am hoping that the new vavle assmbly has those connecter included with it.
thanks
