Default Hotpoint Fridge Still Not Cooling
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: HSS25GFPAWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

THIS IS MORE OR LESS A LAST CALL FOR HELP!! WE ACQUIRED THIS 3 YEAR OLD FRIDGE BECAUSE IT WASN'T COOLING AND OR FREEZING. HAD A REPAIRMAN TAKE A LOOK, HE SAID THE EVAP FAN WAS NOT WORKING. ORDERED A NEW MOTHERBOARD AND INSTALLED IT. ALL SEEMED GOOD. I MOVED IT TO MY HOUSE, THE FREEZER STILL WORKS GREAT BUT THE REFRIG. WILL NOT GET BELOW 50 DEGREES. WE HAVE REPLACED DEFROST HEATER AND THERMOSTAT JUST IN CASE THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. THERE NEVER WAS AN EXCESSIVE BUILDUP BUT NONE THE LESS WE REPLACED THE PARTS. NOTICED THE DAMPER DOOR WAS HARDLY EVER OPENING, SO WE REPLACED THE THERMISTOR HERE AND THE ONE IN THE FREEZER. THE DOOR WILL NOW OPEN AND SHUT BUT STILL THE FRIDGE IS NOT COOLING. IS THERE SOMETHING WE ARE MISSING? WE DID HAVE TO LAY THE FRIDGE DOWN A COUPLE OF TIMES TO GET IT UP MY 13 STAIRS. WOULD THIS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE COOLING ONLY OR WOULD IT AFFECT THE WHOLE REFRIG. I'M SORRY THIS IS SO LENGTHY BUT I HATE TO KICK THIS THING TO THE CURB WITHOUT BEING FOR SURE IT CAN'T BE SAVED.:MY REPAIRGUY IS SCRATCHING HIS HEAD ON THIS ONE.
ANY HELP WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED.

Laying the fridge down can cause problems. If it is not stood upright for several hours before plugging it in it likely will not operate properly. The oil in the compressor runs into the lines and coils. A service tech would be required.
