Default Hollow ice cubes/ not working
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSSC$@QKS02
Age: 1 - 4 years

The ice maker went from making hollow cubes to not working. I attempted to increase pressure by changing the filters of the reverse osmosis (RO) that supplies the refridge and removing the refridge's water filter as per kitchen aid. This did increase the water flow at the door. However no ice. I checked the icemaker and there still is no water in the tray. I filled the icemaker tray to see if it would sense the ice and eject the cubes. It does make ice but wont eject the cubes. Does this mean the icemaker in the freezer is bad or the double sided valve under the refridge need replaced? There are no visible obstructions in the icemaker. Please help. the model number above is incorrect it should be KSSC42QKS02. Thanks

Make sure that the shut off arm did not get shut off.

In your owner's manual there should be instruction on how to reset the ice maker.

If the ice still will not eject it is likely the ice maker.

If you have an ohm meter then you can do a test on the water inlet valve to see if it is good.

I do have an OHM meter. I just tested the power and mold heater modules. I read 30 OHMs on the motor and 10-12 on the control module. this is well below. Any ideas.

Here is a link on testing your ice maker.

This link gives the ohm readings you should have.
