Question Help with side by side ref/freezer
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: csd2325ara
Age: 5 - 10 years

we had the repairman out in january because ice maker would not make ice, he replaced the water valve was freezing up. Now we have a puddle of water outside the door on the floor. The bottom of the freezer where the wire pull out basket is frozen solid. I can break up the ice and then the basket will move but by the next morning is frozen again. What is up with that? Any ideas?

This sound like the defrost drain is plugged.

The fridge defrosts every night. The is a trough that the water goes into and hose that goes to a pan under the fridge were the defrost water evaporates.

With this blocked the water ends up in the bottom of the freezer and frozen.

You have to take the inside of the freezer back wall out.

At the bottom of this is where the water drains.

Here is an exploded view of your fridge model csd2325ara.
