Default GSH25KG - good ice - water dispenser broke
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSH25KGRBWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello,

My GSH25KGRB refrigerator is running good other than the water dispenser not working. I have replaced the filter and purged the line, but no water is coming out.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chris

oh yeah, I took the circuit board panel off in the back and verified the relay is working (or clicking away anyway) when the front flap is depressed

You probably have a frozen water line in freezer. You might want to call GE to see if this is still coverd under warranty.
If not, I would first check water sonenoid in back to see if it is getting voltage and supplying water to tubing. If ok you will need to pull off fountain cover and thaw out water line, usually frozen right near dispenser.
You can add some insulation there to prevent this.

Does the "fountain cover" come off on the outside of the fridge, or do I need the freezer door open to access it?

Thanks for the help!!

Go to Appliance Parts From PartSelect | Repair Parts For Major Appliances to confirm this but I think the plastic tray pulls out and there are screws underneath.
