When did this start?

Turn the fridge off and let it set for twenty minutes and then turn it back on and see if it will start.

Can you please supply your model number?

You can find the model number on a tag behind the kick plate on the frame of the fridge or in the fridge section on a tag with the serial number.

It started over 2 yrs. ago. it's a freezer,Model 81-3935r2.
I turned it off and it did not start, but it still cycles.
It was freezing ok but I didn't like the dimming of the lights.
