Default GE Water Dispenser and cooler
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: gxcf25fbs
Age: 1 - 4 years

Please forgive me if I posted to wrong forum. I just chose the one I thought would be the closest match.
I have a GE water dispenser with the compartment below for storage of cold items. It started to freeze up below the water bottle and block the flow of water to the taps. I took cover off rear and saw to ajustment screws. What can I do to keep this from freezing up? One screw when turned does shut down the compressor but it comes back on later and still turns the water to ice. I looked at the GE site but could not find any info exceot the user guide. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like the control is faulty.

Unfortunately there is no information and very few parts available for these units.

These are known as through away units.

Here is a link to your dispenser unit gxcf25fbs.

Thanks for the help. I decided to deep 6 it this weekend and pick up another at Home Depot. Seems thats the only place that sells this model. It's a good thing I went online to check store availability. They are not stocked anymore and now you have to eat another shipping charge of almost forty dollars. Time to do some online shopping. Thanks again
