Default GE side by side quits cooling intermittent
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: tss201embww
Age: More than 10 years

freezer cools to -10 degrees and refrigerator to 32 to 34 for 12 to 18 hours then goes to 50 degrees in both for 3 or 4 hours , then starts working again . Compressor and fan seems to be ok fan inside works good . refrigerator is 6 years old

Check while it's warming up and see if the defrost heater is on at this time. Remove the back panel in the freezer to observe the heater and note if there is any ice build up on the coils.

No, there is not any ice built up, It seems like for some reason the compressor does not start back when it should

we installed a 3 in 1 relay and thought it fixed it, but it is still doing the same thing.
