I have a GE Side by Side refrigerator/freezer (Model GSH25KGMCCC) and the ice dispensing "flapper" door has stopped closing which allows the freezer to ice up a lot. I bought a solenoid valve to replace but I'm not sure how to remove the old one. Does anyone know how to get to the inner working of the ice dispenser in the freezer door? Thanks.

The easiest way is to remove the dispenser cover from the outside of the door by prying it off. You can then access the screws holding the other parts. This diagram and descriptions of how others did this job may help. Partselect.com - GE Appliance Parts And All Brands of Appliance Parts
