Question GE Refrig making loud clicking noise
Brand: General Electric
Age: 1 - 4 years

My GE Refrig started making load clicking noise from the back and the interior light flickers when it clicks? I removed the ice tray and the fan in the back rotates very slowly and appears to be the source of the clicking noise. Could this be a compressor problem ?

The model # is GSH25JSRF SS and it is no longer cooling. The clicking sounds are coming from the back of the refrig near circuit board. Fan behind the ice tray is not running anymore. I unplugged and emptied it last night.

Need model # to help. Probably compressor going sour. Monitor compressor current with amprobe to verify.

You have a bad mother board in the back of fridge. Best to have this beast serviced. Make sure the servicer has info for your refrigerator. The guys at GE decided to elliminate this vital resource for the poor consumer!
