Default Ge ref won't Defrost
Brand: General Electric
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Ge profile refrigerator, The one with the electronic control board. It will not go into defrost. I changed the board twice, I tried changing the defrost thermostat also. The heater tested good. The only thing left are the Thermistors. I don't know if any of the thermistors tells the ref to go into defrost or not. Can someone answer this for me or tell me whats Left to do?

change the sensor mounted to the evaporator coil. thats all you have left if you,re sure everything else is ok. double check the heater. Ive seen some you can put a meter to and get a reading, but the heater was still out.
