Now the ice crusher dispensor motor hums but will not turn the auger. My previous problem was that I was getting crushed ice but no cubes. I pulled out the ice bucket unit and the motor was turning and I could see that the solenoid was moving the stirrup (which activates the wire activator disp) up & down. I thought that the back end of the wire activator was not going into the stirrup properly so that it wasn't changing the spring ice deflector letting it make cubes or crushed ice ?
So I tried to turn the u-shaped drive auger part that is on the end of the motor shaft with a wrench/pliers and the motor shaft will not turn at all even though the motor was working one hour previously. Should I replace the motor or is this a circuit board problem ?

I had the same problem and it's so aggravating!! So one fine day, I removed the ice tray from inside the freezer and located the auger motor at the back of the icemaker.

I discovered that it had ice accumulation so I removed the ice from on and around the motor. Then I located the freezer door button at the top of the front of the freezer and pushed it while I pushed the dispenser plate. Lo and behold, call the Pope... it worked! We had ice dispensation!!!

So if you're having trouble with the icemaker not dispensing ice, it could be something that simple. :-)
