Unhappy GE mini fridge won't turn on
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TAX4SNSWH
Age: More than 10 years

I purchased this refrigerator second hand yesterday and it was on and working fine. I was forced to transport it horizontally so it would fit in my car. I kind of figured that was a bad idea. Now it won't turn on.

Any suggestions? I would like to repair the fridge. I am fairly mechanically well inclined and able to follow a good defining block of instructions. But I don't have a lot of money (otherwise I would not have purchased an old refrigerator off of craigslist for $25.00 )

Leave the fridge standing for a couple of days.

What did the fridge do?

Was it clicking on the overload?

If you transported the fridge with the pipes that come out of the compressor facing down it is not good.

By letting it stand you may get lucky and it will work again.

If the oil is up in the lines it may have contaminated the system and it may not work again.
