Default GE Icemaker Troubles (water works, ice doesn't.)
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PSS25NGMACC
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have had this problem for awhile now, My water dispenses fine but to get ice out of my side by side I have to push in on the door. Is there any adjustment that can be made? Why does the water dispense fine but the ice will not. Is there a seperate safety switch on the ice dispenser that I am not seeing? Please help (my wife is getting tired of the shoe prints on the bottom of the fridge.) Thanks

You have to push in on the freezer door? Open the door and find out what the door pushes on when you do that. There is a door switch that has to be pushed for the water and ice to dispense. Look at the switch and see if pushing in in all the way makes it work. May need new switch. Maybe put a few layers of tape on the door so it will push father. But make sure the door gasket still seals good.
