Default GE icemaker adjustment?
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: PSS27MGMA CC
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have to press REALLY hard on the funnel to get the ice maker auger to operate either crushed or cubed. Water dispenser operates normally. I've already broken the funnel and had to replace it recently. Would like to adjust it? It always has been like this.

Take the dispenser apart and check the position of the switch.

Here is a link to the breakdown of your fridge model PSS27MGMACC.

Thanks for the reply. Is the switch you refer to # 72 on the diagram? It operates the flap and the bulb... does it also engage the auger? If so, then I assume I would need to bend the metal tang on the switch to be more sensitive?

THX

Sorry I don't have the wiring diagram.

But that should be the switch to start the operation.
