Post GE GSL25JFPD - freezer temp sensor
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSL25JFPD
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello, I had to replace mother board to resolve moaning noise and water dispenser problem in my 3 year old GE GSL25JFPD refrigerator. 2 months later, the water dispenser is freezing again. I want to replace the freezer temp sensor. I already ordered the part from Partselect. Can anyone guide me to schematic diagram and/or instructions on replacing the freezer temp sensor?
Thank you. Sudhu

Your wiring diagram is located behind the kick plate and stuck to the bottom of the fridge in an envelope.

There is also a technician sheet that will assist in testing the fridge.

Here is a link to your fridge model GSL25JFPD.

When ordering parts you should have the full model number of your fridge as there are two digits missing.

It's the water line in the door, that's freezing, IMO. You should change the freezer door to fix that.

Actually there are three sensors in that refrigerator. One on the bottom of the evaporator, and one on the top of the evaporator, and one located next to the air baffle in the refrigerator, behind a thin piece of trim. I would have done all three myself. Just cut the wires on the old one, and splice the new one in. Also, have you checked the temps in the freezer, and refrigerator. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
