GE fridge line leaking water Brand: General Electric Model Number: GSH25SGPASS Age: 1 - 4 years I have a GE s/s fridge with water and ice dispenser. We recently tried to connect up the water line to use the water dispenser. We found no leaks in the back, however, once a cup was placed in the dispenser to run the lines clean, we got a spray of water at the freezer door hinge line. It seemes to be this part here that is spraying water:
Now my question is:
1. Is this part really that short? It looks as if I can just disconnect from the blue connector. Does that mean there is a connector at the top end going up into the door?
2. If this piece is much longer, do I just unscrew the top 2 and bottom 2 screws to release the face panel to correctly fix the line?
3. Is it possible to have the ice maker work and only use the dispenser for ice? It seems there is a valve that released the water through the door water line to dispenser. If this is possible, then i can at least get ice through the dispenser until I can get the replacement water line.
Any help would be appreciated, I would love to get my dispenser working!
