dear shiela, thanks for the feedback!
I have the cold control on order so my fingers are crossed. The cold control has a little styrofoam box on the back that uses some kind of flexible caulk to seal the box that I had to break to get it off, any idea what will substitute for the caulk, maybe "plumbers putty"? Also, this problem surfaced all of a sudden during the winter months this last winter. (didnt have any problem the winter before) As it sits in a garage that freezes, could this be causing a problem for the controls i.e. is not in a heated space ?
We have another, newer and smaller GE upright freezer that sits next to this one in the garage and is plugged into the same outlet, and has no problems at all. I am thinking it's the age of the older one perhaps? thanks a million for any info you have, bob. |
