I have had my side by side fridge for almost 7 years. The fridge is a good fridge. One day though it just stopped making ice! The what ever it is called in the ice bucket will turn when I press the lever as if I were getting ice, but it will not make ice. It does still dispence water. What might be the problem? I don't even know where to start looking. Thank you.

Make sure that the switch on the ice maker was not turned off.

Check the water valve at the back of the fridge.

There are to solenoid on the valve one is for the water and one is for the ice maker.
