Default Ge Circuit Board
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSS20IEMD WW
Age: 1 - 4 years

I just ordered a new circuit board for our GE Refrigerator from partselect.com. Are there any precautions I need to know about when installing the new circuit board other than unplugging unit and making all connections to the new board? Had to buy the new board because auto defrost cycle wasn't working. Repairman said we needed a new board, but quote was $380, so I ordered the new board online for less than a $100. Hoping install is rather straight forward. Thanks Warmest Regards, Mike, Retired USN

The only thing to watch for is some board are static sensitive.

There are warning on the packaging if it is static sensitive.

Then you have to wear a grounding strap that you can get a any electronic shop.
