Default Gap at bottom of refrigerator door
Brand: Admiral
Model Number: NT19K9
Age: More than 10 years

I recently installed a new gasket on the food door of this refrigerator. I also replaced the top bushings for the hinges but not the bottom bushing. The door will not seal completely at the bottom six inches or so. The gasket has a little warp in it and there is a little play in the movement. Is there a possibility if I replace the bottom bushing, that this will solve this problem?

When you replace the door gasket did you have the door on a flat surface?

Did you tighten the screws in the four corners first?

The door is likely warped a little and you will have to adjust with the screws.

Replacing the bottom bushing will not likely help.

I did have the door on a flat surface.
I did not tighten the screws on the four corners first.
I can lift up on the door and there is some movement up and down
And that is why I asked about the bottom bushing. As a matter of fact,
I think the bottom bushing at the bottom of the food door was gone. Do
you know the part number for that?
It is larger that the other thimbles (PS112041).

Here is the part number for the lower thimble. PS112039.

Is there a gap or is the door warped.
