Hi,

My AMANA water reservoir is frozen SOLID ( the shelf slid forward and freezer air was hitting the reservoir). I have tried a hair dryer for several minutes bu have not had any luck. The lines seem to have connectors at the top and bottom of reservoirs, but I cant get them to come apart and am afraid of breaking it.

How do I disconnect the reservoir and either thaw or replace in this model? Once I do disconnect can I reconnect with the same lines or do I need to replace the whole setup??

Just take a pliers to the connections, and remove it, or spend a liitle more time with the hair dryer. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

You're talking the connection right on the reservoir, correct? They just unscrew or twist off?
