Unhappy Frozen "falls" in freezer
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: Profile
Age: More than 10 years

I have a GE profile side by side fridge approx. 12 years old. At the bottom right side of the freezer is a "frozen waterfall" with ice on botom of freezer i have to chunk out every week and it returns. I have turned off al water to Ice maker and water dispenser, and it still appears. I have taken the back covers off to look for the condenser tubing, thinking it would be blocked, but I can not find the tube, or drain, and there appears to be all sorts of mechanical things, and a fan at the opening making it impossible to get into the back of it to locate the tubing. Where do I go next?

You have a frozen drain. Pull back panel off freezer and dump boiling water in the drain area. I use a turkey baster, works well.

Default falls

Is this the inside back panel or the panel covering the whole back of unit? And the whole ice maker would have to come out, then the panel....mmmm
