Default Frozen Evaporator Coil
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: HTS18GBMBRWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Refrigerator not cooling, but freezer OK. Discovered Evaporator Coil was frozen solid. Manually thawed and is working for now. What could have caused this and how do I fix ?

Here is a link to your parts breakdown
GE HTS18GBMBRWW

One of three things is the cause
1 Defrost Timer in freshfood section Item 648
2 Defrost Thermostat in freezer section
2 Defrost Heater in freezer section

Click on the part number (blue print) sometimes another page will open, scroll down and there is often help from others who have used this part.

if it was solid ice,.. you have a clogged drain.. if not then you have to check all the defrost components
