It is a small disk clipped to the evaporatoir coil near the top. Just get a new one for your fridge, clip off the wires and splice on the new one. It is probably shorted causing the freezer to get too hot!!

We changed the defrost thermostat, condensor fan, seals on the refrigerator and freezer doors. What I need to know, how offen does the freezer defrost it self? It went through the defrosting at 10:00 this morning, now its doing it again at 8:00 tonight is that okay? There is no food in freezer just ice and pop. I don't open it a lot, just to make sure its okay. Refrigerator has a few things in it. Temp freezer is about 15-20 degrees. Refrigerator is about 30. Just need to know is that the norm for it to defrost twice in one day? Grandma

The defrost thermostat is behind the freezer panel and clipped to the evaporator coil.
Just order it and replace.

We replace the thermostat in the freezer, seals on doors. Condensor fan. Its a its coldest level. Won't freeze ice cream at all. Freezes water for ice. Now the refrigerator defrost its self about every 4 hours, four or more times daily is that the norm? We also replaced thermostat inside the freezer by the coils.....Help!
