Default Front Pick off Shelf (Cut to fit?)
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: PS106201
Age: Less than 1 year

I purchased the part number PS106201 a "Front Pick off Shelf" for my Jenn Air Refrigerator (model number JTB2488AEW). It is for the shelf on the door of the freezer. I wanted to return it because it is a bit (1-2") too long. Your (very nice) Customer Service Representative (Derik) tells me that this part I bought (PS106201) is made to be "cut to fit." I cannot understand what it is I am supposed to do or where to cut it to make it work. Can you explain?

Thanks.

You can not cut this pick off shelf to fit it has molded ends.

Can you check your model number for me please.

Take it off the fridge tag that is located in the fridge section.

There may be a mistake in the parts.

How long is the one you require?

First, thanks for your prompt response. The model number for my Jenn Air
Refrigerator is JTB2488AEW. When I measure the length of the old, broken
shelf, it is approximately 26-1/2 inches long. The one I received appears
is more like 27 - 28 inches long. The designs on the front are identical.
I asked to return this too large part, but the Customer Service person told
me I could cut it instead. This confused me so he told me how to ask your
service about cutting it. Now I am over the deadline for returning it, can
I still send it back?

I think it might have been a typing error.

The part number that you need is PS106202.

It is shorter.

If you are under 90 days you can still return the other shelf part number PS106201.

Here is a link to your fridge model JTB2488AEW.
