Default Frigidaire Water Dispenser Problem
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRS20ZRGW6
Age: 5 - 10 years

My FRIGIDAIRE Refrigerator Model FRS20ZRG in-the-door water dispenser's output has significantly slowed. The problem has evolved to now also effect the ice maker's ice production. When I removed the water filter the flow at the dispenser in the door returned and became adequate. Therefore, I replaced the water filter but the water flow problem returned. Afterwhich, I removed the new water filter and the flow returned. Obviously it was not the water filter that was causing the problem.

Does anyone have a schematic for this Frigidaire make and model and/or have any suggestions for my next course of action? Thanks in advance.

You should check the connection at the back of the fridge.

There may be a sediment build up at the screen.

The valve is shown on the ice maker page of the breakdown.

On the fridge it is located at the back where the water line is attached.

Here is a link to your model number frs20zrgw6.

I disconnected the primary and the secondary valves and rinsed the sendiment from them. There was some minor improvement but not enough to solve the problem.

I was thinking about replacing both valves. Do you think that will work? Could they be starting to fail?

If you are on well there could be a mineral deposit build up.

This would not rinse out.

So replacing your valve may work.
