Default Frigidaire Upright Freezer
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: UF3-191T
Age: 5 - 10 years

I recently purchased a second hand Frigidaire Upright Freezer (Model No: UF3-191T). The freezer appeared to be working fine until it was unplugged and moved to our home. I plugged it in and all appeared to be going fine. I checked on the cooling process a few hours later and discovered that while the compressor seemed to be running, the inside was not cooling down. I'm getting ready to call the repairman, but wanted to get some input as to what might be wrong with the freezer before taking that action. Any comments or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Jim

P.S. The inside and outside of the freezer are in great shape and it's my understanding that it was working fine until it was moved.

If you moved it with it laying down, you probably didn't wait long enough before pluggin it in. Now you have compressor oil clogging the capillary tube. Probably need a pro to fix it.
Check capillary in back and see if it has a section that is routed in a circle.
If so unplug fridge and unwind capillary and let sit for a few hrs. This might clear it.

Thank you for the return reply. Yes, it was laid on its side during the move and yes, it was probably plugged in too soon. I unplugged it overnight and it didn't correct the problem. Not sure about how to unwind the capillary, so have the repairman coming tomorrow. Nevertheless, I sincerely appreciated the feedback.
