Default Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer problem
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRS26ZRFW1
Age: More than 10 years

Every few days, a puddle of water appears on the floor in front of my refrigerator/freezer. When I discovered that there was also a layer of ice in the bottom of the freezer, I unplugged, thawed and cleaned it out. There is now another layer of ice in the bottom of the freezer. The only other symptom is a short delay when you request ice or water from the dispenser. Thanks for reading.

You likely have a blocked drain.

Take the back panel in the freezer section out and clean the drain trough.

Then take a piece of flexible wire and run it down through the drain tube.

Then dump a small glass of water down the drain.

This should fix your problem.

Here is a link to your fridge model FRS26ZRFW1.

Default Same Problem

FYI, I had the same problem with my Frigidaire and it turned out to be a hairline crack on the water dispensing tank that sits behind the top glass shelf. When water was dispensed, the pressure from the incoming water would cause the leak. The water would pool under the veg crisper and freeze.
A replacement kit is available to replace the tank; its actually a spool of tubing that is attached by straps. My parts dealer stated the tanks are noi longer procurable and the kit has to be used.
Maybe worth a look and good luck,
TS
