Default Frigerator and freezer 50 deg
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 596.51673100
Age: Please select

I am not sure of the age of this refrigerator, it is a sears kenmore side by side. My refrigerator and freezer are warm, everything sounds like it's working and I changed the compressor fan motor because the old one was not working. My question is what is the direction of airflow from the fan supposed to be? in from the back or out ? right now the fan is directing airflow out to the back. I ask this because the fan that I got is not exactly the right one for this unit, but it is blowing cool air and everything underneath is cool.

The fan should be sucking the air in through the front of the fridge.

If the compressor is running and the fridge is not cooling you may have a leak in the sealed system.

Here is a link to the parts of your fridge model 596.51673100.
