Default Frige & Freezer won't get colder 55degres
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 596.5864891
Age: 5 - 10 years

My freezer is at 55 degrees at frige is at 60 degrees. Neither one will get any colder. We have unplugged it to rest it. There was frost on the freezer elements we defrosted them. It's still not cooling down passed 55. The fan works but it shuts off went it get to 55 degrees. What could the problem be?

What was the frost pattern on freezer coils. If partially frosted, you have refrigeration system problems requiring a pro to check.
