Default Frig not getting cold, freezer works fine
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MSD2754GR(Q)
Age: 5 - 10 years

frig not getting cold, freezer works fine (unit is 4 years old)

I have a Maytag side by side w/ice maker and water dispenser, model #MSD2754GR(Q) serial #10422952ZD, my problem is the freezer works fine even on the lowest setting, however my frig is barely cool on the highest setting. I can hear the fan running in the freezer and I can feel cool air at the air ducts of the frig, but it is not getting cold enough in the frig section. (I am not sure I have posted this question where it needs to be posted as this is new to me) any help will be much appreciated

I am having the same problem with my amana. Freezer is at 32 and fridge is at 58. I haven't seen ice in months but I think the fridge just started getting warm today. I noticed ice in the fridge on the vent that blows air on the door.

Does this sound like a defroster problem? If so is it worth trying to fix it?

Thanks for your reply, I found out my frig is still under the 5 year waranty, so I have a repairman coming out tomorrow. $60 for the house call and most of the parts like the compresser etc...are covered at no charge I will share the results when I get them
