Unhappy Frig/Freezer warm-clicking sound-comp.
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRS26LH5DQ1
Age: 1 - 4 years

My frigidaire is not cold in freezer or frig.I can hear the compressor come on but it sounds like a switch clicks off only after a few minutes(2 or 3 at the most.

You probably have a bad compressor start relay. Pull side cover off comprerssor and pry off relay. If it rattles when shaken=bad relay.

The exact same thing is happening on my whirlpool right now. No cooling in freezer or fridge. Compresser is warm and clicks on and off. Took off starter drive and yes it rattles. Ordered parts should be here tuesday. Does anyone know if the capacitor should be replaced as well?

I am not sure if this is correct but if your start device has the capacitor plug in attached to it and is not cost prohibitive, myself, would do them both. You are already "in there". I guess I am saying why go in twice. Hope this helps your decision.
