Is the noise actualy coming from the ice maker?

The reason I ask is the only thing in the ice maker that would make any noise is the motor and once you shut the power off it will not run or make any noise.

Can you pin point the area where the noise is coming from?

Here is a link to your fridge model number frs26hf5ab4.

You might have partially stripped gears in the icemaker or a blown mold heater.

It sound like your evaporator fan motor is what is making the noise.

It is behind the panel in the back of the freezer.

The part is listed in the control section of the breakdown. The part number is ps1146336.

The panel is held in by screws.

You may have to remove the ice maker to get at the screws in the top panel.

Look at the link for your fridge. This should help you take the fridge apart.
