Kenmore fridge stopped cooling two days ago. Freezer works fine. I have cleaned the coils and shut off the compressor by turning temp. dial in fridge to zero and turned back on at the dial. This does turn compressor on/off, just not cooling the fridge. Is this an issue with the fan? I'm comfortable opening the fridge panel to check switches, etc. but that's about it. You have a defrost problem. Locate defrost timer behind control panel in fridg, turn it till compressor shuts off. Checl to see if it's defrosting. If so,you have a bad defrost timer, if not you have a bad defrost heater or bad defrost thermostat. Post results.
