Default Fridge warm, freezer cold
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 25371122103
Age: 5 - 10 years

Kenmore fridge stopped cooling two days ago. Freezer works fine. I have cleaned the coils and shut off the compressor by turning temp. dial in fridge to zero and turned back on at the dial. This does turn compressor on/off, just not cooling the fridge. Is this an issue with the fan? I'm comfortable opening the fridge panel to check switches, etc. but that's about it. Any input would be great. Tx, Dave in Schaumburg, IL.

You have a defrost problem. Locate defrost timer behind control panel in fridg, turn it till compressor shuts off. Checl to see if it's defrosting. If so,you have a bad defrost timer, if not you have a bad defrost heater or bad defrost thermostat. Post results.
