Default Fridge side getting warm
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.53606201
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi I have a Kenmore Elite side by side fridge manufactured in 2002 and the fridge side is getting warm. The freezer is cold. I can hear the condensor running. There was a bunch of hair/lint on the coils underneath that I cleaned but the fridge still doesn't seem to be getting colder. There is not icing on the freezer side. Can you help?

Check and see if the damper door in the air flow control is closed.

The damper is located in the top left corner of the fridge section.

It controls the air flow from the freezer to the fridge.

If the door is closed you could have a broken damper door.

There should be a test sheet behind the kick plate.

The test sheet will help you test the thermistors to see that they are working.

Here is a link to the parts of your fridge model 106.53606201.
