Default Fridge problems
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: SSH25KFRFWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

a week or so ago my fridge's (which is a year and a half old) ice and water dispenser started acting up. you could hear a series of faint clicks followed by a louder click that just kept going non-stop. the water would only dispense between the louder clicks, but ice would not dispense at all. so i took off the back panel to see where the clicking was coming from and i think it's some kind of relay on the motherboard. we left it alone for now because everything else works and we are in the process of selling our house, which means little time or money, plus we plan to leave the fridge. as of yesterday the freezer and cooler have quit. at one point i moved the fridge out to take a look and left it moved away from the wall. later on in the day we noticed it was working fine again. there were no clicks at all so i decided to try the ice and water again and boom, the clicks strarted again and everything else quit. so i've looked at the back and inside and noticed every time the louder click happens, the fan inside the freezer and the condenser fan try to come on but can't. so i'm thinking this might mean the motherboard needs to be replaced but i'm not sure. i just don't want to pay all that cash for a service call if it's something i can do myself. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Yes it does sound like the mother board has a short in it.

Here is a link to your fridge model SSH25KFRFWW.

On this link it shows the the mother board is no longer available.

The manufacture may have a replacement part.

Here is a phone number for General Electric.

US 1-800-626-2005 Canada 1-877-959-8688

Please let me know what they say.

Can you please give me the part number for the mother board that you received?

This might help someone else with the same problem. Thanks
