One thing I forgot to tell you - sometime when it starts it only runs for a minute or so and sometimes it runs for a while but shuts off while the temp is still in the 40's.
Tom.

tvgordan, Hi. You could try to isolate the problem down a little from shaking the whole refrig. With old relay in place, have someone turn temp control up and down while you "listen" to relay. If relay is operating you should be able to hear it click in and out. If you don't hear anything it might be relay. If relay is working then your problem could be temp control, loose connection in control circuits or compressor (sealed unit) motor may be hanging up. Try shaking only compressor and see what happens. As for temp control, you would have to disconnect and check with ohm meter to see if it opens and closes. If you don't hit on what individual item is hanging up there are too many posibilities to make it practical to haphazardly replace parts. May be time for new refrig. planigan

You must have a loose wire somewhere else in the fridge.
