Could be just the fan
Are you sure the freezer section is operating correctly actually cooling
Depending how much stuff you have in the freezer, it can take quite a while to change temperature
Could be you are stuck in a defrost cycle
The fan will be off, once the fins are clear of ice there is a thermal cutout which stops further heating of the defrost element and the compressor will be off.
Before replacing the fan I would check it to be sure it is getting juice
If you do not have one, go and buy a volt/ohm meter
These days you can get a digital one for under $20.00. You do not need anything fancy. It is nice to have leads which are a couple feet long. If it saves you from replacing one part needlessly, you have paid for it. |
