Cold air enters the fridge through a damper or vent between the freezer and fridge. The evaporator fan in or behind the freezer blows the air through. There is an adjustment to open and close this vent to allow more or less cold air in. It's a mechanical door operated by the fridge temp. control. It's in the top of a side by side. Make sure it's moving when you adjust the temp.

Post your model number if you need more detailed info on your unit.

If it's working right it means the damper door is closed when you set the fridge temp to a warmer setting. Right?
