Default Fridge/Freezer Power Use
Brand: Amana
Model Number: BX21VC
Age: 5 - 10 years

I am getting an emergency generator for my house and I need to know the power that this Fridge/Freezer will draw from the generator when the Fridge/Freezer is on/running.

I know that formula. What I don't know is where the information is listed, it's not in my users manual and I can't locate in in the unit. Is it in back of the unit where I can't see it or does someone know the current the unit draws?

Look on the compressor under the unit. It pulls the big majority of electricity. If your generator will start that it will run the unit. My 5000 watt generator will run my refrigerator, another freezer, a well pump and TV and a few lights in the house but it does dim a little if I add any more lights without cutting something off.
