Cool Fridge & freezer is 62 degrees
Brand: Kenmore
Age: 5 - 10 years

i have a kenmore elite side by side refrigerator. i noticed the freezer was getting warmer a few weeks back. i thought it was dust buildup on the wire grid underneath the refrigerator side. i blowed this out and it seemed to help for about a week. then i noticed that both the freezer and fridge sides are not working. a friend told me to unplug it for a night a plug it back up, this did not work. both sides are at 62 degrees. it seems that it is running and kicking off fine. i really dont know anything about fridges, as you can tell by this posting. if anyone has any advice, i would really be grateful.

Check and make sure that the compressor is running.

It should be warm to the touch and you should hear a motor humming sound.

Can you please provide your model number?

my model # for the kenmore is 10652693100. the compressor is running very smoothly and it is warm to touch. i have noticed a small white box on the side of the compressor making a clicking noise. it will click once every 2-3 minutes.

Yes the little white box would be the relay and overload.

You may have a bad relay and overload or the compressor motor faulty.

Here is a link to the parts of your fridge model 10652693100.
