2 things could be your problem, either the fan motor or the defrost thermostat. Here is what I want you to do. Unplug the refrigerator, and take the back panel off the freezer section, and cut the two wires, that are going to the defrost thermostat, about two inches away from the defrost thermostat, because if it is not the problem, You will need to wire nut the wiring back together. So once you cut the wires, splice the two wires that were coming to the defrost thermostat, and tape up, and then plug in the refrigerator. If the fan comes on, replace the defrost thermostat.
