I have a Whirpool Gold that had ametal spring come out of the ice dispenser on the outside of the door. nothing is broken but I need to be able to take out the water & ice dispenser face plate and I do not want to brake it by forcing it. Are there any instructions on how to do that.
Refrigarator was built in December, 2005.

Unfortunately I do not have the service manual for your model fridge.

Some models have screws under the drip tray.

Some have two way tape around the face plate.
