Smile Fridge door seal
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: Ptb1953frw

I need to replace my refrigerator door seal. I see that there are screws to hold it in place that will need to be removed first. What is the simplest procedure to complete the job - start at the top, the bottom, etc? Will the entire molded shelving unit need to be removed or will the gasket simply pull out? When putting the new one in, same question, easiest procedure?
Thank you!

The easiest way to replace the door gasket is to take the door off the fridge and lay it on a flat surface.

A table is best so the door handle can hang over the side.

Soak the new gasket in warm water to make it more flexible.

Remove all the screws.

Reassemble in the reverse order.

When tightening the screw make them snug but do not over tighten.

This will cause the door to warp.

You will likely have to adjust it so it will seal.
