 Fridge does not defrost, freezes up once a month Brand: General Electric Model Number: ess22xgmb Age: 5 - 10 years
Every month or so my fridge gets warm. When i remove the cover inside the freezer side it is a block of ice. I have to unplug the fridge and take a hair dryer to the coils. After that, it works fine for about a month, then freezes up again. I assume it is a defrost problem. I am wondering which of the components is typically one that would fail. I am an instrument tech, and can take readings with my meter if i know what part or parts to look at first, and typical resistance readings. Thank You! |
