I have side by side, refrigerator is not cooling at all but the frezzer too cold ice is building on the bottom, at times makes a loud tack sound.
I don't know what the problem is.. please help.

Can you please verify your model number?

It is located on a tag in the fridge section with the serial number.

It sound like the freezer is not defrosting.

The sound that your are hearing is most likely the fan hitting ice.

Sounds like a defrost problem. Pull freezer back panel and check frost pattern. If all frost, check the defrost thermostat, most likely it is blown open, If ok check resistance of the defrost heater.
